WELCOME TO THE LIBRARY

The All Saints Library is a lovely, one of a kind space that was our school’s former chapel.  It provides an abundance of well maintained and up to date materials for our entire All Saints family.

Every student at All Saints visits the library weekly with their class. There are also plenty of other times when students can come and check out books or gather resources for class projects.

JUNIOR HIGH BOOK CLUB

The junior high book club has begun. We meet about one Monday a month during FIT/recess and or lunch. We choose books to read and discuss, share snacks, and have lunch together. Our first book selection this year is The Bronze Bow by Elizabeth George Speare. This title is highly recommended for young people and adults alike!!

READING WITHOUT WALLS

Outside the library, you will find a bulletin board dedicated to the “Reading Without Walls” challenge. This is a challenge given by Gene Luen Yang, the National Ambassador for Children’s Literature. The idea is to do one or all of three things:

  1. Read a book about a character who doesn’t look or live like you.

  2. Read a book about a topic you don’t know much about.

  3. Read a book in a format you don’t normally read for fun (a graphic novel, historical fiction, audio book etc…).

Once you do one or all of these, stop by and have Mrs. Gillenardo snap your picture with the book and see yourself on the board!!

I look forward to getting to know you and your child better. My contact information is 636-397-1440 ex. 238, or gillenardon@allsaints-stpeters.org. I am happy to answer any questions about our library program or help you find just the right book for you or your child.

GOD BLESS US THROUGHOUT THE SCHOOL YEAR!!
